Andy Murray has withdrawn from the Davis Cup finals after revealing that he has picked up a shoulder injury.
‘I’ve picked up a minor shoulder injury which means I won’t be able to take part in the Davis Cup,’ Murray said.
‘I’m gutted not to be part of the squad but my focus is now on rehab and getting ready for the new season.’
The Lawn Tennis Association – LTA – shared their well wishes for the former Numebr One, posting on X, formerly Twitter: ‘Gutted for Andy Murray, who won’t be playing at the finals. Hope to see you back on court soon, Andy.
Now, the former Wimbledon Champion, 36, has withdrawn from the GB team ahjead of their clash with Serbia on 23 November.

Britain’s upcoming opponents are led by 24-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic.
Murray has been replaced by Joe Salisbury – alongside current British Number One Cameron Norrie, Jack Draper, and Neal Skupski.
Second-place ranked Dan Evans also withdrew due to a calf injury.
It would have been the first match between Djokovic and Murray for six years, if the Scot were to have remained in the tournament, with fans eagerly awaiting the hotly-anticipated clash.
Murray has battled a number of recent defeats, including a loss to Australian star Alex de Minaur at the Paris Masters, in which he was defeated 7-6 4-6 7-5.
