Andy Murray and Jack Draper confirmed their fitness for next week’s US Open after appearing in the draw for the season’s final Grand Slam.

The former champion and Britain’s most promising male have both withdrawn from warm-up events through injury in the last fortnight, with Draper the more doubtful after his shoulder played up again this week at Winston Salem.

He is fit to meet Moldova’s Radu Albot in the first round. Murray, back from an abdominal issue, will fancy his chances against Frenchman Corentin Moutet and could play fellow veteran Grigor Dimitrov in round two.
