Months removed from its 25th anniversary, the Air Jordan 12 is re-entering the retro conversation with a “White/University Blue”-clad ensemble accompanied by emoji-reminiscent icons.
Set to release in adult and kids’ sizing, the upcoming sneakers keep things relatively straightforward across their upper and sole unit. The “rising sun”-inspired top-half mostly indulges in a “colorless” arrangement that allows for the reinforcing overlays on the profiles to steal the show with their vibrant blue flair. Laces, upper eye-stays, branding on the tongue and pull tabs at the heel all boast the same “University Blue” tone; most of the midsole and tread also follow suit. The next Jordan 12, however, delivers a touch of experimentation to the iconic Air Jordan series given the 8-bit graphics that cover the inner-lining and insole, as well as the lateral heel area. Lastly, stark “Lemon Venom” contrast lands on the outsole, further differentiating the pair from past propositions from #23’s beloved line.
Enjoy official images of the retro ahead, and anticipate a Nike.com launch on Wednesday, June 1st.
Elsewhere under the Jumpman umbrella, the Jordan 4 is soon set to release in several new styles.
