Those within Portland’s Moda Center last night bore witness to a spiritual basketball experience as Damian Lillard enacted a MasterClass against the Houston Rockets pouring in a career-high 71 points, becoming just the eighth player in NBA history to record 70 plus points in a single game. On top of the brand’s recent launch of the “Remember Your Why” campaign at All-Star Weekend, Lillard’s historic night is yet another cherry on top for the German sportswear behemoth.

Often accompanying Lillard throughout his 11th NBA season, the lotus blossom-inspired pair engages in a striking arrangement of soft pastel pinks. Airing on the more titular side of his eighth signature silhouette’s roster of color blockings, a blissful gradient stretches across the Bounce Pro midsole concentrating at its forefoot in a “Chalk White” finish. Embroidering the mid-foot 3-Stripes in line with the pair’s premium aesthetics, floral graphics curtail the “DAME” heel branding and insoles while a staple semi-translucent closing is applied to the tread underfoot.

The mass amount of social media limelight cast on the pastel-flavored Dame 8 could lead to a re-release of the pair, similar to the brand discounting Donovan Mitchell’s footwear to $71 following his own career-high night.
