With Donovan Mitchell, Damian Lillard and James Harden headlining their roster of signature silhouettes, adidas basketball has been quietly working behind the scenes on their revitalized on-court offerings for the future of the sport. Nearly two years after shaking up the industry with his move from The Swoosh to The Three Stripes, Jerry Lorenzo’s imprint on the hoops space is now being realized with the all-new adidas Crazy New Era.
Three days and nights in the dessert capturing content and storytelling for the pair – titled “Remember Your Why” – has proffered a first look at adidas newest slate of on-court offerings and ensuing retooled apparell. Eerily reminiscent to the late Kobe Bryant’s first-ever signature silhouette with the German-based brand, the Crazy New Era enacts a similarly constructed streamlined aesthetic to the adidas Crazy 1, molding its crisp white leather panel in a uniform ensemble that extends across its vertically ridged vamp. The laceless composition of the upper indulges in a jet-black zipper shroud that enacts a one-piece sock construction above, color-matching the pitch-dark shade across its simplified heel counter and tread underfoot.
Enjoying a tried-and-true “Black/White” pairing, check out a first-look at the brand new adidas Crazy New Era below while we sit tight on the pair’s expected release in early 2023.
