Having left his imprint in numerous revolutionary ways on the skate scene, longtime adidas collaborator Mark Gonzales has returned with his adidas Aloha Super after a year-long hiatus. Choosing to pay homage to his onscreen portrayal in the chair wrestling scene of the 1997 indie film Gunmo, a “Scarlet” red makeover ensues across The Gonz’ latest iteration of his take on the heritage fencing silhouette with The Three Stripes.

Coating the model’s clad premium suede upper in a dominant sampling of vibrant red, crisp “Cloud White” patent leathers brighten and simultaneously contrast the midfoot through its three stripes branding. Amidst the crimson color-match at the silhouette’s laces, mesh tongue construction and Adiprene sock liner, Gonzales’ cursive signature and synonymous Shmoofoil insignia further liven the offering with colorless embroidery and detailing. Underfoot however, the pair indulges in a semi-translucent all-black sole unit and tread affixed with trefoil emblem lugs.
