Marcus Smart, Post Malone hang out after rapper’s Boston show originally appeared on NBC Sports Boston

Marcus Smart spent his Friday night at TD Garden, just not for basketball reasons this time.

The Boston Celtics guard was in attendance for rapper Post Malone’s concert and got to spend some time with him after the show. He took to Twitter with a photo of himself posing with the nine-time Grammy Award nominee.

“Show was (fire) Friday night. Thanks to @PostMalone for the love he showed us! Boston fans as usual never fail. They were crazy live. Felt their love too,” Smart wrote.

Smart and fans were were fortunate to be there Friday as the Saturday show in Boston was canceled. Post Malone was hospitalized due to lingering pain from the ribs injury he suffered after a fall on stage in St. Louis earlier in the week.

TD Garden will soon be back in business for basketball as the Celtics are set to begin their preseason on Oct. 2. The regular-season opener is scheduled for Oct. 18 against the Philadelphia 76ers.
