It is mid-August, and NBA fans are eagerly awaiting the release of the schedule for the upcoming season.
Although it hasn’t been released, one detail has been leaked in regards to the Lakers’ schedule.
They will face the defending world champion Golden State Warriors on opening night of the regular season.
L.A. also faced the Warriors to start last season. It played Stephen Curry and company very well through three quarters, taking an 85-76 lead late in the third quarter before falling apart and losing the contest 121-114.
Via Lakers Daily:
“The Los Angeles Lakers will be opening up their 2022-23 season with a road matchup against the defending NBA champion Golden State Warriors.”
This time, however, the Lakers will open against Golden State in San Francisco rather than in Los Angeles, as they did last fall.
