Maralee Nichols celebrated her baby boy turning 6 months old by taking him on his first trip to a zoo.
The fitness model shared an Instagram photo Wednesday of herself holding Theo as they watch giraffes meander around a pen and wrote, “Can’t believe my baby is 6 months old 🥲 Theo’s first time at the zoo, he loved looking at all the animals 🦒.”
Theo’s father, Tristan Thompson, did not “like” or comment on the post. In fact, Thompson and Nichols do not even follow each other on the platform.
Nichols has maintained that the Chicago Bulls player, 31, “has done nothing” to support his son despite previously claiming he was looking “forward to amicably raising” Theo after a DNA test proved in January that he was the father.
“He has not made any attempt to meet their son nor has he provided any financial assistance,” a rep for Nichols claimed in February.
Thompson also failed to acknowledge Nichols on Mother’s Day, so she instead spent the holiday “together with loved ones” without mentioning him.
Nichols, 31, also shared a photo of her and Theo on her Instagram at the time and wrote, “Thank you for choosing me to be your mommy, being your mommy is my greatest blessing. Words cannot express how much I love you. You are my world 🤍 Happy Mother’s Day to all of the amazing mothers out there!”
Thompson and Nichols had been locked in a bitter paternity battle after she claimed he had impregnated her in March 2021 over his 30th birthday weekend — while he was still romantically involved with Khloé Kardashian. He vehemently denied Nichols’ claims in court documents — going as far as to threaten her over child support and custody — until the DNA results exposed him.
While admitting the truth, the basketball player also apologized to the Good American co-founder, 37, with whom he had secretly reconciled before the paternity scandal broke.
“Khloé, you don’t deserve this,” he wrote on Instagram. “You don’t deserve the heartache and humiliation I have caused you. You don’t deserve the way I have treated you over the years.”
Thompson shares 4-year-old daughter True with Kardashian and 5-year-old son Prince with Jordan Craig.
