Cam Norrie is hoping that having his family reunited in London will spur him to greater success, starting with Friday’s French Open third round.
The British No 1’s parents, David and Helen, have relocated to the capital from Auckland to be nearer him and sister Bronwen, who also lives in London.
Mum and sister will be at Roland Garros as he tries to make the French Open fourth round for the first time, taking on Italian clay-courter Lorenzo Musetti.
‘It is good to have them around and it makes it so much easier,’ said Norrie, who went two years without seeing his parents during lockdown.
‘I get to hang out with them a bit more on weeks off and that can definitely have a positive impact on my life off the court.’

Norrie will start as slight underdog against world No 18 Musetti, 21, who beat him last month in Barcelona.
But Norrie is gradually improving his Grand Slam record, including that semi-final last year at Wimbledon when he lost to Novak Djokovic.
‘It was a huge milestone for me to make it past the third round for the first time ever at Wimbledon,’ he said.
‘There is a long way to go but it will be good to have another crack in the third round here.’
